Most of the important stuff is covered on the other pages, but there are always going to be a few situations that don’t fit neatly into the main rules.
We’ll keep updating this page as questions come up and we inevitably find edge cases we didn’t think about beforehand.
Yes.
If you signed up, are available, and ready to raid, but we ask you to sit because of raid size, comp, or another team need, you’ll still receive the full 10 DKP for the night.
You shouldn’t lose attendance credit because we decided we didn’t have a spot for you that night. In these situations, you are not expected to be sitting around on standby.
If we discuss beforehand, for whatever reason, that we’ll be swapping you in at a certain boss because it has good loot for you and the prior bosses have better loot for someone else.
Yes.
We don’t want to police what people do with their characters or subscriptions.
Just keep the raid team in mind. If you’re thinking about swapping, talk to us ahead of time and make sure the new character is reasonably prepared before bringing it into raid.
Yes, when it makes sense for the group.
We expect people to play alts and will probably end up doing alt runs, optional raids, or other content where bringing them is totally fine.
For progression and our primary raid nights, mains will generally take priority unless we specifically ask someone to bring an alt or the group is at a point where it doesn’t really matter.
There may occasionally be situations where we need to bring in a pug to fill the raid.
Guild DKP is an internal system, so we’re not going to expect a random pug to participate in it.
We’ll establish the loot rules for those situations ahead of time and clearly communicate them to the pug before the raid starts. If anything is being reserved for the guild, they’ll know that before joining.
We expect, or at least hope, this will be pretty rare, so we don’t want to overcomplicate the main loot system trying to account for every possible pug scenario.
Yes.
Unless otherwise specified, things like bags, mounts, toys, cosmetics, and other desirable raid drops will use DKP as well.
Kind of a two-parter, but no and no!
We have plenty of guildies who have either never raided with us, stopped raiding with us, or taken long breaks. You absolutely do not need to be a consistent raider to be part of Mystic Dragons.
We’ll always prioritize bringing our consistent raiders first. But as time goes on, people miss nights, take breaks, wait for new content, or just aren’t available for a particular raid.
When we have absences, we’d much rather bring a guildie or friend to the raid than a random pug :)
So if you’re interested in raiding with us, even if you can’t commit to every week, just make your intentions known. We’ll keep you in mind and work things out as opportunities come up.
Nope.
This whole site is a work in progress, and so is the content in it. Most things here are by no means set in stone, and a lot of it will change as Forever launches and we figure out what actually works for the group.
If something doesn’t make sense, seems off, or you just have questions, ask. We’d much rather talk it through than have anyone guessing.
